Antique Charcoal Iron Sad Irons

This is a antique Charcoal Iron, Sad Iron with black painted wood handle. These old flat irons make wonderful rustic, country, primitive, farmhouse decor. They are very useful as paper weights, and door stops. This has a screw bolt on the back to remove top, but it's on really tight , so I did not open, but it could be soaked with some WD40 to open if desired. There are two holes on the back of the iron, likely for a curling iron. Wonderful collectible piece of history.

The iron is in good condition. It has rust, patina, wear to the finish, scratches, scuffs, pitting. Please look over pictures.
It measures approximately 7 1/8" long, 3 1/8" wide, and 5 1/2" tall.
