Vintage Anri carved wood bottle stopper man in a man articulated movable cork wine stop

Regular price $50.00
This is a vintage Anri carved wood bottle stopper. This rare piece features a man within a mans head. It is articulated, movable by a lever on the back, when pressed down another mans head raises the mans hat. A unique piece to add to your collection.
The Anri company was founded in 1912 by Josef Anton Riffeser. They made these bottle stoppers from 1912 to the mid 1960's. The earlier pieces were hand carved by people in the Groeden Mountain area in Italy. They were modeled after people that they knew.

It is in good vintage condition. There are some scuffs in the paint, and there is a section of the hat brim that was broken and glued at some point. We believe the hat may have been glued on top of the smaller head and is now free, but we are not positive so we will leave that up to the new owner.
It measures approximately 4 3/4" long, and 1 1/2" wide across chest.
