This WWII pocket compass was manufactured by Longines Wittnauer for the U.S. Air Force in 1941. It is refereed to as a pocket watch style compass for obvious reasons.
This particular compass was often seen as an Officer's Compass and was likely carried as part of a survival kit for U.S. Aviators.
The compass is in good working vintage condition. We have left the original patina intact. There is one small dent/ ding on the back, please see last photo.
The compass measures approximately 1 3/4" in diameter, 2 1/2" including closure, ring at top, and is 1/2" thick.
