This is an antique Auburn Tool Co wood molding plane, hand plane. They are great for primitive decor, or would be a great collectible tool for someone who enjoys woodworking. It features a solid wood block construction with a rounded shape. Would make an excellent addition to any antique tool collection. It is engraved on the side with Auburn Tool Co Auburn NY and Star logo, the numbers 18, 180.
It is in good antique condition. There are scratches, scuffs, patina, and staining. There is light surface rust to the metal blade. There are small chips, dings, and some checking. Please see pictures.
It measures approximately 9 3/4" long, 5 1/2" tall, and 2" thick.
